Pipeline Cleaning
Hydro Cleaning Services
DownStream Services, Inc. cleaning trucks are manufactured by Super Products. They produce water pressures of 2500 PSI at 85 GPM. Cleaning trucks are currently adaptable to clean up to 900’ from one location. They have patented pusher plates, inside the tanks, that squeeze water out of the solid materials, allowing for disposal of solids, without excess water. The separation of liquids and solids greatly reduces disposal costs. Our Camel jetting and vacuum trucks are specifically designed for cleaning pipelines and are engineered for ease of operation in a variety of site conditions.
Trucks and equipment requiring water for operations will connect to the closest fire hydrant to the work area. All of our trucks are equipped with an “Air Gap” type filter, in lieu of backflow prevention devices. Air gap filters are accepted by all districts for filling water tankers. Due to the simple design the possibility of backflow is eliminated.

Mechanical Cleaning Services
Mechanical cleaning devices are used for removing large quantities of silt, sand, gravel, and rocks. These units are primarily used to remove debris from a break or an accumulation that can not be cleared through hydraulic methods.
DSI’s bucket cleaners is housed on a set of trailers and consists of a cable storage drum and engine with a controllable drive train. Our machines have 800’ of ½” cable and various sized buckets and tools. One machine is placed upstream manhole and is used to thread the cable from manhole to manhole. The bucket is thrust into the material obstructing the line with the jaws open, dig into and scrape off the material and fill the bucket. When the bucket is pulled in the reverse direction, the jaws are forced closed by the slide action. Any material in the bucket is retained as the bucket is pulled back to the manhole and dumped. |
